THE LAVA TUBE

There is a lava tube under here

Under our feet

The cabin and the jungle bathroom sit above FlashTown’s own private cave. The wider land story connects to the Kazumura cave system — spoken of as the longest and deepest lava tube in the world. We live on top of that geology.

Interior shots stay interior — hanging roots, mineral walls, headlamps in the dark. We will not publish entrances, coordinates, routes, or photos that turn this page into a treasure map. Wonder is allowed. Trespass instructions are not.

The jungle bathroom

Open-air, wrapped in green, built on the same ground the tubes run under. It is the everyday proof that this place is not flat dirt with a house on it — it is volcanic rock with a life on top.

You can see the bathroom. You cannot get a map to the cave from this site.

Build carefully

The back half is rainforest on the same ʻAilāʻau-age ground that underlies this side of Mountain View — forest and ʻōhiʻa that came back after the flows cooled around the late 1400s. We build carefully, because this ground was here first.

Private cave and volcano-landscape tours are by request only — never a drop-in, never a pin on a public map. See also Volcano.

Is FlashTown on Kazumura?

We live on top of that cave-system geology. We do not publish access details.
